i have some ugly rattle can paint on my taco from the previous owner, i wanna consider doing a wrap since it will be much cheaper then paint, how much material does one normally need to cover the whole truck? I've seen people do it with all the materials for under $600 thanks

good one will probably run you just over 3 grand, depending on material. Chrome will cost way, way more due to material cost and technique

A single stage paint job is going to be the cheapest, a good wrap costs a good chunk of money.

I wrapped my car before and it was a hell of a learning experience. Even if you get high quality vinyl it isn't too expensive. But you really need another person for many parts and expect to redo sections several times until you get the hang of it. It is not an easy experience and requires patience. I really do advocate people to look into plasti dipping as an alternative, as a decent sprayer setup with proper application does a good job of changing up your vehicle and is pretty easy to remove if applied properly. Obviously a proper paint job would be the be all end all solution but the cost is much much higher than any other solution.

It costs as much as a good paint job. They aren't cheap and aren't as resistant to environmental variables.

Just consider it a long overdue update:thumbsup:. The costs, materials, and methods associated with wrapping have changed a bit in 5 years.

You and I have very similar trucks lol
