I’m debating on whether to take out the K&N Intake that was on the truck when I bought it or leave it on my truck. I’m leaning towards taking it off and going back to the stock intake/air box. Good call or bad call on going back stock?

Why are you wanting to take it out?

    Why go back to stock?

Why not do the cowl intake mod instead?

Consider. The K&N isn't doing you any harm, it also isn't giving any gains. Well, the engine intake noise is more pronounced.....

You could pull the oiled K&N filter and fit a dry paper filter. You'll get better filtration and may reduce the intake noise.

    Good Luck

    I had a K&N once. Years ago.
I tossed it after the 2nd time cleaning it.
Not worth the hassle to me, - wash it, - let dry, - be careful not to over oil it.
I found it easier (more convenient) to toss a new filter in and call it done.

I place order for all our vehicles once a year.
I think a Wix filter runs like $9 at RockAuto?
