@Maxx What parts are needed to mount the solenoid behind the grill? Any pictures to reference?

Just got the bumper on, looking forward to adding a winch and lights later.

Anyone have a source for a behind the grill bracket to relocate and mount a winch solenoid? I was going to go with the SDHQ kit but their customer service has been trash every time I try to work with them and they say they won’t have their kits available until mid February. Found this out after emailing with them and going down there to pick it up only to be told it’s out of stock. This is the second time they have done this to me with parts so I’m done.

I found one other bracket but the design blocks way too much air flow to the radiator. https://shop.tandemoffroad.com/products/maner-mount-3rd-gen-tacoma-winch-controller-mount

I’m to the point where I’m considering designing and making one to sell since there doesn’t seem to be any good options. 1000 options to mount a shitty light bar but nothing for our winches.

@JLee have you considered making a relocation bracket to sell with the winch bumpers? It would be nice if someone with the tools and experience could make a solution. I’ll make and sell something just to spite SDHQ because I’m pissed but I’d prefer to not spend the energy.

When y’all got the bumper shipped to you, how did the bash plate come on the pallet? Already mounted onto bumper or separate off the bumper?

I seem to be missing the bash plate and BAMF logo badge.

Mine were on the pallet not bolted up. Hardware came in the small brown box.

Went from a CBI that would rub and now I got a pretty noticeable gap. Oh well, it’s definitely lighter weight. Winch and more lights next week. Just wanted to change it up bc I’ve had the CBI for 3-4 years

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
The running4tacos bumper caps it will fix that. The flair will still be a little short but the caps would fill that gap.

if that Tandem piece could do the job but needs some further enhancement, then i suggest simply emailing them. my truck is in pieces over there right now. they are very open and easy to work with, and if this is a shared concern, then I'd bet they would want to make it right.

Thanks for following up. I actually just made a mount out of uni-strap and it worked out way better and cheaper. About to put the bumper back on now with the winch in place to get it spooled and tested. I still need a 500A fuse and cutoff switch so going to leave the power disconnected after testing. I’m pretty happy with how it’s turning out so far.

I got the bumper back on with the winch in place. I need to finish connecting the wires tomorrow so I can test. It’s a very tight squeeze behind the winch and in between the bumper and I ran out of time today.

Could someone help me on a measurement? I’m wanting to know 6inches in from the beginning of fog light mount then what is it down tell you hit the angled tube. Wanting to know that height as I have a rectangular light that is 6 1/2by 3 1/2inches.

Got the x20 Smittybilt winch hooked up with the control box on the side but now the damn hawse fairlead is too big, so can’t spool it. And still waiting on Baja design brackets to come in to mount the fogs.
