Is anyone using aftermarket bit organizers on their M12 drills and impacts? I am looking to buy one, this is a big difference from my old Ryobi tools that I miss.

No way I could use an organizer like that, I'd be beating and banging it off of everything... Massive liability for scratches/gouges.

As an aside, anyone used the M12 inflator?

I could occasionally use such a thing.

Yesterday on the shed door hasp. Perfect example. But it was not so hard to have the hex shank drill in and driver in my pocket. Mark and drill holes, swap in torx bit....drive screws in

I use my mouth to hold multiple bits and fasteners, just like the lord intended.

I have the m12 compact inflator. keep it in my truck, and have used it a ton to top off my tires. works great for that, and I can usually get all 4 of my tires topped off at least twice on a 4aH battery. usually adding 3-5 PSI each time, and I run 265/70/r17.

I wouldn't use it to air up after a trail run, it would take too long for that, but I have a Viair 88 for that.

I also had an issue where it would register at 2 PSI when not attached to anything, and register 2 PSI higher than my tire gauge. this started after about 8 months after I bought it. I went through Milwaukee's warranty, and they just sent me a new one, which was nice, only downside was I was out the tool for about 2 weeks total. not a huge deal though, its not a critical tool.

Overall, I would recommend it, especially if you can get it on sale, or with some free batteries (which you can either keep, or sell, or return to Home Depot for some amount of refund.)

I'm with the others, I'd be knocking bits off, scratching shit or wouldn't have the right bit on there.

I just bring the shockwave kit (link/pics below) everywhere with me. Not only does it have all the bits, but I use it to keep the hardware so it doesn't get lost or kicked around. I have an old shockwave kit, but I linked one that's close...

Does anyone sell those boxes without the bits? I have drawers of bits I’ve collected and would love to have them easy at hand. The best I’ve seen is a planno box but that doesn’t hold the bits organized.

I haven't seen the boxes by themselves, but even if there were available, I'd bet you're gonna spend $10-$15 anyway.

For $20, I'd just get a new shockwave kit. The bits are all impact rated and pre-organized. Easy.

Sold my stihls. Sad day. On the sunny side I got to open the red boxes! Milwaukee changed the design of the M18/M12 charger slightly. The 12Ah battery is HUGGGE! The saw rear handle is a little awkward but probably easily over come. I wonder if the next version will have the battery mount from the side and have a more traditional throttle handle position. (If that’s the case I’ll be really jealous because it will probably also have better power somehow.)

Nice! Let us know how it works for you.

I have 2 of the 12.0's for my table saw and 10" sliding miter saw. Agree...they're huge.

I love my M18 chainsaw. If I haven’t used my 038 in awhile it’s bitch to start and I’ll spend 20 minutes blowing out the carb and cleaning the plug to got cut up something small out mowing. Now I swing in the shop on the mower and grab the M18 and head out back to cut up a little blow down. I don’t think I would use it as my go to saw cutting firewood rounds.
