Friend of mine has an Undercover brand bed cover.
I'm impressed. Anyone here have an opinion bad or good on this model?

Undercover make a great folding cover. The Armorflex is a really nice one. It's got a LineX coating to prevent scratches on it. I've heard of several guys having issues with the Bakflip (similar design to the Armorflex). I'd recommend the Undercover Armorflex cover to anyone.

I have the armor flex and the lineX is just on the exterior side. Interior side is just normal paint and can scratch. One other pet peeve is the rail for the cover blocks the entire Toyota bed rail system. I added d rings to get tie down points back.

That said, overall though happy with it. Fold up nicely and works as expected. I’ve driven freeway speeds with it in the fully open and up position when hauling things without any issues. It’s not 100% waterproof but I added some more weatherstripping and it helped a lot.

My Armorflex seems to be coated inside and outside. The interior has a texture similar to the exterior. The only difference I can see is that the interior is more of a glossy/shinier finish than the flat/matte finish on the outside. I just got my cover a few weeks ago, so maybe they're coating both sides now?

I had one on my 2012 Tacoma and it was awesome. It never leaked, and it never moved. I replaced it with a shell, but that was just because a guy wanted to trade his shell for a flip cover.

thanks appreciate that. I just looked at mine and it’s matte on top. For sure lineX. Underneath is glossy like automotive paint. Pics attached below. Excuse the dust. I’ll see what they say and post up here

Yep, looks just like mine. I’m very happy with the Armorflex. I did a lot of research and was leaning towards the Bakflip. But then I started seeing more and more unhappy Bak customers. I was back to square one when I stumbled upon the Armorflex. The more I looked into it, the more I wanted one.
I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top notch folding hard tonneau cover.

Great idea on adding the D rings! I'll keep that in mind as I shop for my cover. Four months looking / researching and I can't make up my mind. :frusty:

Skeebo - love my UC Armor flex. The reasons I went with it over the Bakflip was this
    1. it has the linex coating and has held up great so far. I have friends with the Bakflip and it definitely shows wear and tear
    2. In the fully open position it does not touch or have the potential to touch the cab like the Bakflip does. I've also driven with the UC fully open at freeway speeds (70s) and there was no issues/rattles/shaking/etc.

I also chatted on the website at AutoAnything and got $120 bucks off my UC cover, that sealed the deal for me. Basically saved me tax.

Here's a link to the Drings in case anyone wants them as well - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CGXSOG0
