Used them both. Both shops are top notch but Custom is a bit more expensive. AI was also able to dial in the caster to 3.9 (from 3.5) and I swear it handles better (maybe just my imagination lol). Bottom line, AI is my go-to alignment shop.

Good to know. I've been fighting with Firestone to get what I want but I've already gotten my money's worth out of the lifetime alignment and they're no longer in San Rafael.

Thanks for the tip on Beep's. I decided to get the alignment on my Gen1 checked. I installed the 3" lift about 15 years ago and finally thought it was time to get the alignment checked as I recently installed a new set of BFGs. Interestingly, everything was in the green except the RH caster, which they dialed in. All brand new equipment and super friendly guys. I recommend them.

Update: I went to Beep's Offroad for an alignment. I do NOT recommend. Typical CA/Bay Area experience. They charge $40 more than most shops, and the tech kept bringing Carter back to do the work and explain the equipment.

It seems like a guy's cool dream played out, but if you seek more than other people to bolt your shit on I'd look to established and reputable shops, or do the work yourself.

so, what happened? after 3 months you finally went down there and discovered that Beep's has a new hire that needed some training? If that is the case, my hat is off to them. I think it is fantastic someone is entering the trade. A lot of folks are sitting on their ass collecting wuhan unemployment benefits while all kinds of jobs remain unfilled. Regarding the price, I thought they were on the cheap side for the area. Maybe they raised the price since February?

How about you review this page on logical fallacies.

In case it's not apparent, they're not up to my standards and expectations. At no point did anyone mention a "new hire" or someone "entering the trade" though a new hire is not inherently new to the profession. Not sure where/why you are raising that as a point.

Yes, heaps of people are purposefully existing at home receiving tax dollars as their income - while annoying it's not a matter relevant to this discussion.

Don't know what your definition of "cheap side" or "the area" is, I regularly traverse 6 of the bay area counties, and seek the best vendors for my needs throughout, basing remarks and musings on my travels and experience.

That aside, I was not thrilled with the service received and have received higher caliber service for the same procedure, in the next city over, for 2/3 the price.

There's a shop in Fremont that I cannot recommend or mention but the name rhymes with "twat customs". They made mistakes and promises and never followed through.

+1 The tech(I believe his name is Quang) at Hayward alignment did a pretty good job. He was very knowledgeable about Toyotas. Even though my car is stock my steering wheel was jacked up after coral hollow. My toe was hella off he got it to pretty much .01 both sides. And he offered to give me more caster but I didn’t need it. Very professional and clean shop.

I'm getting a lift with Kings, AAL and an aftermarket UCA soon for my 2018 TRD OR. Maybe some new tires also. Is Auto Innovations still the go to place for the Bay Area for a post lift alignment?

Looks like Hayward Alignment split off from Beep's Offroad.

It is for me, no complaints at all. Make sure to call ahead and schedule it out, that place is always busy.

Thanks. I have it scheduled with Orlando. I may get some tires from them also but wanted to wait to see what my stock tires look like after the lift.

Any of these places do rear axel alignment? My thrust angle is a little off and Firestone wasn't much help in trying to fix it. I would try loosening the U bolts and trying to fix it myself but I don't have the space, etc.
