Another glorious day out in the desert- my last one for 2021. No gold but lots of fun! Planning on going back to a new place to get some later today.

Fantastic! Good for you! it's always good to get out into the desert!

I got out yesterday in what I call "challenging conditions." We still have snow on the ground but we were able to find a few patches of dirt worth detecting. And we found a new spot to check out once the snow goes away. :fingerscrossed:

    IMG_2351.HEIC.jpg

We didn't find a whole lot of good stuff, but we did pull a fair amount of non-ferrous out of the ground. This .45 Colt with a U.S. head stamp is kinda cool. From what I gather it was manufactured by the United States Cartridge Company (1867-1926), a civilian munitions contractor. I also found a Boy Scouts suspender clasp.

Let's hope we all find fantastic riches in 2022!! :amen:

179687D5-2132-4A5A-9F19-3C42B3475DF7.jpg Another beautiful day outside, went out near the Chocolate Mountains in So Cal along the Bradshaw trail- rock collecting mostly with a bit of detecting- skunked it

Also got some side scrapes and lost my rear bumper corner when I sorta scraped it on a roadcut when I slid sideways in a hole next to it… oops!:annoyed: :spending:

Hey Hobbs, I’ll take your rear bumper when they get a match for that nice new front one you got!

Bum deal man… I smashed my rear bumper also. Tore the left panel clean off. I had to backtrack 10 miles to find it.
I keep telling myself that I'll buy a fancy new rear bumper, but it ain't happened yet...

Mine was still holding together when I left and I thought it would make it home- I was just going to temporarily glue it back together, but when I got home it was gone. I should’ve pulled it off and thrown it in the back of the truck or duct tape it together for the trip home, but oh well.

Now I can tell the CFO that I might as well get a new plate bumper because fixing what’s left of the original one would also be expensive.

It could very possibly be more expensive to repair the factory bumper than purchase aftermarket. Tell the CFO that this is my professional opinion. :D

Got out for a couple hours today and found silver. I dug a bunch of other targets but nothing to write home about…

1898 "S" Barber Dime. First silver of 2022!

Only got to use it once. Havent let it out of my sights at all this year. Kept it by my bed. When I camped out for work I kept it with me.

That’s how you do it, I would’ve lost that air dam and put a dent or two under those doors the first 10-feet of that run!

Wait a minute- is that you screaming? It is!!
