Has anyone been to tahuya in the winter? If so, how is it? Any camping in the area, maybe camp spillman?

Let me know what you know, share with me your experiences and thoughts as I might try to go this weekend.

I never camp out there, but have been during winter and its a mucky mess with a lot of water on the trails. Some of the more tight trails require driving over roots that are close to the tree, when wet/muddy this can make it challenging to keep your body in tact. If you don't mind the significant effort to un-do the mud, then there is still enough fun to be had to make it worth your while!

Was pretty slick last week, but all the snow is most likely gone now. Probably just super deep water everywhere

I'll do my best to avoid deep water. Way more trouble than it's worth.

Lol you can say that again. My buddy had to put a new engine in his GX last month after getting too deep crossing rivers. He put a snorkle on afterward to prevent it happening again to which I said "why not just stay out of the f'ing river?"

I live about 20min away, conditions are fine right now. water in the deeper holes but not bad at all. I have a long bed so Its a little harder to navigate some of the tighter stuff. still doable, just slower.
