Yeah man , looks like we got another dusting. I wasn't expecting us to get any after listening to the news.

 

I’ve had one Taurus in my life, didn’t like it. I held this one yesterday and it was love purchase at 1st sight

 

When I looked at the weather around dark I thought we were done. Oh well, hopefully this will melt today

 

My dogs are all fired up to go outside. I bet they won't spend much time out there.

How many 9 year olds ask if they can go shovel snow? Yes sir, have at it!!!

 

I said hey this snow is kinda dry, try the blower He’s having a blast

 

No snow here -- it is currently -3 !

I will take cold over snow any day, snow needs to be shoveled, with cold all I have to do is swear.

 

If you lived next door Cole would always have spending money.
Yes, I'm a cheapskate but I don't mind paying someone who wants to work.

 

The BS part of it is that they’re secretive about it. Not out in the open.

Too bad we can get laws that make them get our consent for each piece of data they collect and sell.

Guess it doesn’t matter if I keep my ‘15 forever.

 

It’s not do bad when it’s sunny with no wind. Glad to see Sun is in the forecast- the driveway has a nice coating of ice I need to chop and it’ll be easier with a bit of baking.

If someone wants to track me and sell my data -- I can't imagine how bored they are...

"Oh, look -- he is driving around randomly and listening to CDs -- just like yesterday" .

 

Yeah, I’m living the lifestyle too but it pisses me off they’re sneaking around making money off me and I don’t get a say in it.

I have given up on being bothered by things out of my control and feel healthier for it.

For over 30 years I listened to news programs going to and from work. Back about May of 2020 I was driving along at around 5 am and suddenly I didn't want to hear it any more.

My exact thought was "the daily van has over $700 worth of stereo gear - why the am I listening to this". I put a CD in (Asleep at the Wheel if I remember correctly) and haven't looked back.

I pulled my "news fuse", they broadcast but I no longer receive -- I have CDs and commercial free satellite music.

I like to stay informed so I will browse different media outlets to see how they distribute the same info and twist it towards their bias but I have family and friends that are consumed by it. To me, it's too heavy a burden to bear feeling like you must watch news 3 times a day. Then you're rolling through life and you meet somebody that doesnt watch news at all, that's eye opening that person seems so carefree.

Feel like I'm getting pretty good at sleeping in these days. I have been up long enough to brew coffee, start laundry, scoop out catlitter boxes and take out the trash.
We have 3 days of temperatures in the low 40's so that will be kind of nice.
Need to make a package delivery down the road to my friend that help me fix the kids Blazer. I took peanut M&Ms yesterday to work but taking beers is a no no, and they might froze anyway. I tried to give him $100.00 but he said just likes fixing things like that.
Kid made it to Colorado safely. Colorado Springs maybe, not sure destination.

In "the old days" the TV news was an hour, 1/2 hour local and 1/2 hour national at 6 & 11 pm, one hour per day of national news.

In 1980 CNN arrived with 24 hour news, they had to fill that other 23 hours with something, the world didn't get 23 times bigger after all -- news became entertainment based on ratings.
