:rofl:so I followed that link. All the data storage and who it's going to, if it is, it doesn't bother me.
About the one thing for certain that I could relate to and agree with, was a certain amount of increased reliability (possibly) from the lack of all the electronic computer bs of older model trucks.

The truck is the only vehicle I have ever had that came with a payment book.
I actually consciously didn't fart in it for a long time...:anonymous:

Edit: I have spent a fortune on detailing stuff for it too -- and still suck at it.

I hit the parking lot with the 140, it’s melting good and it’s only 25° at the moment.

One place I was at had steam coils built into the In & Out ramps of the parking garage. The cost of runnin’ those rascals would be along the lines of the guy’s imagination that designed it. Limitless

    Happy Saturday Folks :hattip:

Stopped into our local TSC yesterday to pick up some new work pants. Surprise, Blue Mountain brand regular and carpenter jeans on sale for$9.99
They hold up decent and that's a good price.
    I'm squeaky tight where I can be:rofl:

Wouldn't radiant electric be cheaper to operate?

No. Pretty much useless outside at -40. Gotta really be below ground level to make a diff. This place also had an electric boiler that if started would likely result in a Nation Wide outage. Can’t believe Folks used energy like that. Seriously like no tomorrow.

My shop is hot water heated slab.

I calculated radiant electric vs radiant hot water with a gas boiler as a heat source.

It was 4 times more expensive to heat it with electricity. The up front cost of 400 amp service and large wiring was also very prohibitive.

I keep my shop at 60* ( floor is around 70-78*). The $100/month to heat it is well worth it!

Sheesh. I need to get my (smallish) driveway concreted [is that a word?] and we're considering heating it in the winter for snow removal. Now I'm reconsidering water v electric.

I read an article years ago about heating sidewalks.

My take away was that it was a worthy investment.
    They considered:
Labor (even your own time has a value)
    Buy or maintain equipment
Reduced liability from slip and falls
    Concrete lasts longer
I add - you will be older in 10 years - shovel and heart attack are often used together.

They used a small gas boiler in the article, gas is way cheaper than electric.

I don’t heat the garage/shop 24/7. I only turn on the heat on extended days off (a miracle) so my setup is a ‘lil different.
