Does anyone have any experience with a 22" Magnaflow? If so, please tell me your take on the sound levels. Also, could you please include your engine size? I am driving a 4.0L V6 4x4 6-speed manual. Thanks in advance.

I ordered this muffler the other day, and getting it tomorrow. My friend has it on his truck with headers and the rear cats in the y-pipe removed and it sounds deep with no rasp. I'm going to be running it on my truck with headers and stock y-pipe.

Here's a truck off youtube with this muffler, but with the rear cats removed. If your going to leave the rest of your exhaust stock its going to be very quiet with that huge muffler.

That's dope dude. Your friend's truck sounds great. I'm running the 18" right now, contemplating going to the 22" for a less obnoxious sound.

Hope you enjoy your new Magnaflow. I'd love if you told me how it turns out!

How would you define very quiet? Compared with stock muffler?

I'm gonna be installing it friday, so I'll take a video and post it up later that day. I currently have the 18" installed with headers, and I'm just tired of it being loud. I've dealt with it for 3 years and am finally fed up with it lol. I'd say it'll sound somewhere between the 18" and stock. I have that irritating drone inside the cab at 1500-2500rpm at times which is why i'm replacing mine.

What do to the added headers sound like? Do they affect amount of noise coming out your exhaust/muffler also? The drone is my pet-peeve and the whole reason I'm looking at the 22". Need to mellow it out a little... :rasta:

Man. The more you educate me and the more I watch your buddy's video, I'm REALLY starting to lean towards the 22". Hope this thread can be helpful to someone else one day also.

    enough to get me there
I have the 22" Magnaflow 2.5" dual inlet and single 3" outlet. Stock piping after the cats were removed. Had to do this for the dual inlet magnaflow, and removing the low hanging crossover pipe to fit my ATO transfer case skid.

Pipe dumped after the axle, right by the leaf hangers. I don't recommend dumping before the axle, it will drone alot. This is from first hand experience. I had it dumped before the axle for less than a week, I could not handle the constant drone, got it extended to after the axle. Couldn't be happier.
