Got me a 2019 TRD off-road! Still sad I had to let go of my 2008 Pre Runner

What step bars/running boards would y’all recommend?

 

That thing is badass! Congrats. Everyone will likely say predator steps, I have factory black running boards and I find they are mostly just in my way.

 

Nice ride. what sort of lift/tires do you have there?

And I hear you on being conflicted. I have a 92 that I don't think I can keep.

Tons of options out there! Can't really say because I don't know your personal taste or use for the truck, but I do like the automatic retractable one. Keeps the look nice and flush. With that said, also depends on your budget.

 

I vote drop down rope ladders.

 

Looks great. I would keep it simple without the steps.

 

Or you could get aerobic and involve a trampoline. Would make for a great repurpose of a terrible gift for the wife, assuming you are still able to function without anything short of life supporting machines after gifting something like that...

I agree, the factory black running board/Side Step is in my way. I wish the mount bracket would be 2 inch lower...
but I guess it is design for off-roading and it can't be too low.
Predator Step will be awesome, but I don't want to spend anther $500 buck.

 

Depends on how you plan to use the truck?
Light off-roading, dunes and sand? Mall crawling?
-AMP Research power steps. (They come down low and make it easy to get in and out of your truck. When not in use, they tuck out of the way. Also can be used as a step to wash your truck.)

Rock crawling?? Overland adventuring?
