Up until a couple months ago, I would've said no problems. 90K miles with nothing but oil and filters. Problem is now my truck is in the shop to fix leaking valves costing me roughly $6K out of pocket since I'm no longer under warranty. This is an issue others have had, some under warranty, some not. It's clearly a manufacturing problem, not something caused by myself. So that's frustrating. I had the fuel pump recall and I asked about the third brake light since my truck is in the shop and my service advisor said they already took care of it. Yet never told me beforehand so I'm a bit skeptical. As long as this issue won't rear its head again in the next 4-5 years, I expect to be trouble free until I get rid of it. I do regret not getting the MT though.

I have a 2005. I had the famous Head Gasket issue at 137,000 miles. The issue got fixed. She now has 250,000 Miles and going strong. Ignore all the Winer's and get your truck and enjoy it.

2019 TRD Off Road, 42,000 miles. No problems at all. Been pretty amazing. I had a 2016 SR with 110,000 miles that was also pretty badass. Only issue was the 3rd brake light leaked in heavy rain some which caused a pain. But overall they are great trucks.

16 TRDOR, auto, ~30k miles. It's had some minor fixes-body mount bushings, headliner was cut too short and a tune was not optional. Otherwise it's been great. Admittedly, 30k on a '16 is not a lot of use and it has been garage kept every year but the first. Would buy again.

Three non-issues that keep me up at night are the crank position sensor, coolant crossover pipe and oil drain back. None of them have given me issues, but if they do I hope they do before my warranty times out.

2019 OR - 43K. Bad battery, replaced under warranty and fuel pump recall is the only problem I have had. I take mine off road quite a bit in the Florida mud and sandy trails. Love it.

Had my 21 for 8 months now and the only time it's been in the shop is to install stuff I bought. If you read a lot of the whining threads here you'll notice that a lot of the problems are self inflicted (i.e., I installed a 6 inch lift now my truck rides funny and has a clanking noise in the front end). This is a very narrow group of Tacoma owners and is not representative of your "typical" ownership experience.

Mine pulls to the right but only after I put Cooper ST Maxx's on it. Relax.

No real problems so far, more like a couple annoying issues like a long time for heat in the winter, and some of this electronic warning bs that flash's on the dash when it snows, or i'll go past certain road side properties.
