I had to do my ecgs bushing with just a 1.5 inch lift.

I don't think lift has anything to do with the ECGS mod. That needle bearing goes south with or without a lift.

That's not correct. Do a bit more reading. Needle bearings typically start to vibrate after lifting the front of the truck.

First test drive after my lift and I could feel it vibrating.

the reason I stated what I did is because my '07 had the vibration before I did a lift. Once I added the lift, the vibration got worse and made me research and find the solution. BUT I also didn't do the lift until my '07 had higher mileage, so maybe the needle bearing was just getting worn out to start with.

I had a 3" lift but even with a diff drop the cv boot ribs were riding hard... ended up going to 2" with the diff drop... the cv angles look great with no ribs hitting each other.

I did a 1.5" lift a couple years ago, went with 6112's on #3 and some upgraded general spring HD's in the rear w/ 5160s. Dont regret it a bit. Recently upgraded from 265/75/16 to 285/70/17 p-rated tires on summit dakars and love it. Also installed some spc uppers to push the tires forward.

i have about 300 lbs of static weight from drawers + commercial shell and it drives great, huge upgrade from stock in terms of handling and comfort.

How do you like the general hd springs, I'm looking into them for my 13 dclb when when I get a topper and add some drawers

Thanks guys, I've seen the full Old Man EMU 2" kits and looked at piecing together something for the front end after I do a AAL or leaf pack replacement. just not sure yet. but either way I would like to add drop spacers even with a 2" lift. I am not doing anything serious so I don't mind if my diff sits 1/2 to 1 inch lower.

tacoanddogs, I purchased the General HD leaf spring packs to replace the ones on my old 12' chevy Colorado. Because I added a cap and carried weight in the back. they worked great, lifted the rear 1"with weight, no squeaks, no issues for 2 years before I sold the Colorado for my tacoma.

Actually I had a went through a local HD truck suspension shop. They carry full line General Spring products, but I cannot confirm the U-bolts and shackles where ordered with the Springs as a kit.

I’m also at 1.5 on #3… how’d you get those 285s to fit?
