Are those wires shown the only ones that were cut in the entire system and is there any length missing?

 

Yes only wires cut. About an inch missing.

 

Got it. Okay, I'm dwelling on this. Just making sure it won't require too many solder joints that might affect signal performance. Been looking to do the mod and I'm near done with everything else I had sitting here in the shop to bolt on.

The box indicates this is the model for a "Touch 2" entune radio. I don't think it will work on your '21. I believe your Entune is a "Touch 3".

 

Thanks. I was wondering about that, too. I don't have the JBL but I think I recall seeing Touch 3 somewhere in the prompts on the head unit. I need to verify before I go with any new or 2nd hand.

 

If anyone wants my help on this let me know. Could be a good option for a Canadian with aftermarket head unit.

 

Looking at Germes Labs site, this is what they have on their application list.

I'm not sure what to make of that....

 

If this doesn't sell this weekend, I will try to make it work with my pioneer head unit. I think it should. I just need to try a few more things.

So will these units work with an aftermarket unit? I'm thinking of installing a front camera on my 2014 but am somewhat concerned it won't work properly with if I swap the stock HU with an aftermarket stereo
