I have the Predators on my truck - like the look and that they are aluminum. My wife uses hers all the time. I also have a Lomax TriFold that I got for an awesome price through @GotExhaust here on the forum. They sell other makes as well and prices and service were awesome.

I like the way these are closer to the body.
Can you provide the exact Tyger model you have pictured?

iArmor aluminum drop steps on Amazon for approximately $300ish. My 83 yr old mom has no issues so I think your kids won’t either

Thanks! I actually really like some of their designs, but the issue I have is the 'iArmor' stamp cutout on the riser of each step. It's such a stupid issue to have with a product, but I'm de-badging and blacking things out throughout the truck, so it feels very odd to be "stuck" with those logos. Call me anal retentive.

I had the tyger faux sliders on my old 4Runner because I got them for $50 on Craigslist, I don’t think they are what the OP is looking for though. The step is still very close to the rocker panel so it doesn’t help much for people who need a step up. That’s why I didn’t recommend the aluminum running boards I have now and love. They make a great platform for accessing my roof rack, but a terrible step for getting into the truck. Something like the predators or a few others listed here that actually bring the step down closer to the ground are probably more of what kids would need.

Nailed it. Those Tygers are sweet, but they won't work for my specific needs, unfortunately.

Yeah there is a switch from AMP Research that allows you to override the automatic movement of the steps but for some strange reason the system resets in 30 minutes regardless of where you have their switch positioned. I have that switch and also included a second switch that will set the entire system to auto or off. So if I wanted to keep steps up permanently, I can simply turn the steps off in that position and they'll stay there regardless of doors opening and closing. For the master switch I used an OEM Toyota switch from the 4 Runner.

I think the Toyota predator step bars are the best looking right now. They are really well made. A little pricey but not by much compared to others. 2nd would be N Fabs.
