When parked for hours the part of the tire in contact with the ground gets a flat spot on it. It is worse in cold weather, rarely happens in hot weather. But it doesn't have to be real cold. I've seen it happen in the 50's. Some tires are worse than others. Things will work out after being driven a few miles.

    Nothing yet
It can happen randomly if it sits for a while. Check your psi too.

58 degree weather causing tires to flat spot? No fucking way! That is damn near summer time weather for some parts.

Did this happen right after tire install? E load? Pressure? What rate springs on the lift?

I went through two stock needle bearings (what a goose chase - take my word for it) under warranty before I did the clamshell and I only had a 1.5” coilover lift. Vibes went away immediately and it has taken a beating. Good luck! :hattip:

If you're born and raised in Florida, 58 is freezing! I've seen snow 3 times in my life. Never in Florida though. 58 degree swamplands is bad enough. It gets near freezing sometimes, but super rarely. 32 is freezing right?

E load for sure. Tire pressure is usually 30, but today it dropped to 27. Otherwise I keep it around 30. It popped up to 29 when I was driving to work.

Oh, and my front spring-rate is 590. I don't know the leaf spring rate though.

E load and AT tires in general usually have some pretty tall knobs and they can sometimes be felt when rolling slow. Higher rate springs and things like urethane bushes and hiem joint control arms transfer more of those small vibrations through the chassis. 590 springs and 30 PSI is pretty soft, though. In fact 30 PSI for an E-load tire is below the minimum load rated pressure. Most E load tires will carry around 1900 lbs at 35psi (assuming 4 tires carrying equal load), which would translate to a 7600lb truck, but going below the rated pressure/load carrying is not necessarily a linear correlation so below the mfg minimum load carrying pressure is a bit of an unknown.

I have only experienced tires flat spot 2x, once on a car that sat for 4 yrs with no movement. I bought it real cheep, put 2200 in it to get it drive able. The first time rhe car was outside a hotel and the temperature dropped to -50 ambient temp. No wind chill, after a couple blocks no issues.

Tires will flat spot if they sit in one place on the truck too long. Shouldn't happen with decent air pressure for at least 2-3 weeks.

Is 27 psi low for an E-rated tire on a mostly stock weight Tacoma?
