    Think it's the camshaft sensor

Is the whole harness chewed up? Or just the camshaft sensor wire?

That certainly looks like the Bank 2 intake sensor to me lol They should be able to repin the harness and install a new connector. That is the harness that's broken, not the sensor! @Fabfourtacoma, did you look at it before bringing it to the mechanic?

I certainly wouldn't accept that. I'm just arming you with informatio in hopes something helps you out.

I'll let you do the research, but if you only had the P0304 and P0348, it seems as though that connector was the only one damaged. Look at this file, identify the connector type (I'll let you do the research) and kindly remind them that the harness can be repaired more economically using the part numbers for the appropriate connector (listed in the document). $6,000... Them is fighting words.

The harness can definitely easily and cheaply be repaired and certainly does not require replacement.

That said, that is the sensor we were talking about from the beginning, so it seems you never replaced it, as I’m sure you would have noticed the damaged wiring at that point.

    90980-11875 - Connector, Cam Position
    82998-12780 - Terminal, Connector (Qty: 2)

    Pin 1: Red
    Pin 2: White

Because of the location, I’d recommend a good crimp vs. any soldering, but either should be fine if done correctly.

I doubt there is enough damage to justify replacing the entire harness but who knows without seeing more. Good luck.

Sure is....Concur on the crimp. I would install a heat shrink crimp and call it a day as it'll be more of a hassle to get the harness soldered in place. Jeff, glad to have you here.

Man, I done told yo ass to do a proper visual inspection haha. Thats cool though. Seems like an easy enough fix. That plenum can be pulled without having to replace gaskets. Get plugs and change em while you're at it, if you're getting up there in milage.

I'm sure if more wires were fucked, you'd get more codes.

Sorry for bumping this up. I just received a PO348 as well. Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit High Bank 2. Where is this sensor located at? I plan to just replace it, but dont notice any chewed up wires or anything. I believe 90919T5005 is the part for that sensor.

Camshaft position sensor connector. You don’t need a part number. I had the same critter issue and was able to get the fix done without removing the intake manifold which probably saved a bunch of time. Used a universal 3 pin connector. Pretty much any wires will work from there as mentioned above.
