I totally missed that when I bought the terminals ages ago.

 

It was entirely too long so if you wanted less excess, you can find precrimped wire for sale on other sites. Could get away with like an 8” long one. Not a big deal, I just tucked away the excess. But idk why they make it so long.

 

I just installed the 2nd & 3rd Gen (2005-2021) Tacoma Double Cab Rear Glass Molle - Modular Storage Panels with the Full Molle Panel I got from docloco.

 

Now that's full molle!

 

I also have the same Tacoma Molle Rack from Meso Customs that you do...A center console molle and an inside console molle panel from Victory, the front multi mount panel from Desert Does It and heavy duty molle back seat covers...I would like to get molle panels for the bed of the truck but I haven't found any that would fit a DECKED...I just installed a Hooke Road Tacoma Center Console Safe Lockbox on Amazon.

Nice. Keep your receipt. I had one replaced under warranty last year. I am hoping it was just a fluke because the battery was only a year old.

 

Oof. Any issues with the new one?

 

No. So far it has been fine. Also, they follow the Northstar warranty rules. So, if you do have an issue with it draining down on its own without a load (ie, pulled out and sitting the ground) then try to get it charged above 10.5 volts before going in for a replacement. The Northstar warranty states "Battery with an open circuit voltage (OCV) of equal to or less than 10.5V will be deemed as over discharged and void warranty due to misuse and/or neglect." Which makes no damn sense. If the battery is defective and draining on its own then how is that misuse or neglect?

 

I know @EatSleepTacos is running the same battery for a few years now and hasn't had an issue with it as far as I know.

 

Tyler's battery, bought around the same time as mine, also failed. He couldn't get it above 10.5v and as far as I know got screwed out of a warranty replacement.

 

Well that's dumb as hell.

 

To be fair, Tylers truck sat for a long ass time and he also had some electrical gremlins that I don't know if he ever tracked down. I think it was due to his old solar setup.

 

3 wise men. Hey, speaking of batteries......can I just run leads on alligator clips from the -/+ terminals of the batt to a light bar laying up on top of the truck to test it out without all the real wiring huhah?

I do this all of the time but I use a drill battery. I like to bench test all of my lights before installation.
