Hey everybody, my 2019 TRD offroad has been giving me a major headache lately. About a month ago I had to use 4wd to get out of my driveway. When I turned onto the highway I rolled at about 10 mph with my foot off the gas and switched back to 2WD. Although I heard the pop and was definitely in 2wd, my indicator light wouldn't stop flashing. I tried everything including rolling in neutral switching back and forth going back to 4WD etc. I even tried disconnecting my battery overnight to reset the computer. The problem with this is that while the light is flashing I cannot go back to 4wd. I live in Northern Montana and this is a major issue. I scheduled an appointment with my dealership and drove like normal for about a week. The light flashed this whole time. The morning of my appointment I went out to my truck and the light was off. I had to use 4wd to get out of my driveway again and it switched faster than it ever had before. Naturally the dealership found nothing wrong. This lasted for about a month and now the light has been flashing for a couple days. Each morning I have to use my maxxtraxx to get out of my driveway. Anybody have any tips? Im about to hit everything in my front end with a sledgehammer.

Sounds like an intermittent fault, likely with the actual shift motor or solenoid. There should be codes stored if that is the case.
