Glad to see it’s not just mine. I’ve gotten to like the clutch ok. It’s really fantastic with my trailer. A bit aggressive when I have passengers though. I’d probably go for a 200 instead of a 250 next time or a different brand.

Just picked up the rig from RSG Offroad. 5 miles into my drive its throwing a Check Engine code. I even let them keep it an extra day to test drive it and work out any issues. I guess I'm in the club, just not the club I was expecting right out the gate with a professional install :bananadead:

I had to re-register my VFTuner software on a new mac bootcamp Windows 10 install. Ex has the original PC laptop now :anonymous: I have not set up TechStream on the new system yet. Is there another way besides TechStream or a stand alone device?

Most auto parts stores like AutoZone or advance can read codes for you and give you a print out describing the code and common issues\fixes.

I do recommend to pretty much anyone who will listen to keep some sort of OBD/code reader device in their vehicle.

I keep a simple Foxwell NT301 in my truck. Big benefit I find out of that too is that it can identify ECU IDs for me too, so I don't need to always have my laptop with VFT with me.

I have an OBDLink MX+ as well that is also very robust but that's more of a live data diagnostic tool

where are you base camped? I am in Golden. Maybe take a once over and see if I see any obvious issue (s). I am in Golden - Did my own install - no issues other than my OCD problem of triple checking everything along the way. Probably why it took me more than 18 hrs to do.

I also keep a cheap Bluetooth OBDII dongle in my truck that I got on eBay for like 2 dollars about 7 or 8 years ago that works great with the Torque app on Android devices. Can read and clear codes, but also show tons of sensor data

ScanGuage II is what I run and use. 100% monitor all the time and check/clear DTC.

Ohhhh, I do have the OBD Fusion app w/ Bluetooth dongle. Let me give that whirl real quick... I use it for sensor value monitoring, I haven't tried to see if it can read codes too, but it might.

Thanks man! For $3100 out the door for just the install (granted, that was adding/wiring 2 gauges, moving the bumper to re-route around the winch, and doing spark plugs just because Magnuson says to), I'll have them fix it. I should have turned around and made them buy me an Uber home. The same code was thrown (from the vehicle history) while they had it. I'm guessing they just cleared it, checked things, didn't see anything, drove it another few miles with out the code coming up, and called it good.

all good. if you decide to take a test drive after picking it up from them lmk. not that far from their shop to my place. And you can see what a YW tune for the SC drives like (hint - the next thing you will want and need).

P0420 - Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold. This is probably from the AFR gauge install. They said the instructions for the gauge said to put the bung tap at least 18" after direct engine port exhaust. But the second cat on the OEM exhaust is in the way for that spec. So they put the bung for the AFR gauge right after the second cat. They did say that this would cause the AFR gauge to read 0.4 units too high for the actual value, so just take note.

P0660-14 Intake Manifold Tuning Valve Control. No idea.
