This is the same setup I'm eyeing but have yet, until now, find pics of this on a 3gen. Do you have pics of how it is mounted on the inside of the bed?? Love the look of RCI's rack and especially how those adapters do line up with bedside nicely not like others overly extended hanging out. Looks ugly IMO.

I’ll get a couple of photos tomorrow and post them. I love my Bakflip Revolver. Best cover I have owned so I was not willing to give it up for a rack.

This looks like an awesome setup, I saved it to reference later. I’m wondering if that would work with a taller set of bars? If I had a taller set of bars I could open the cover all the way? The wheeling I do is mostly Forest Roads and BLM land for camping. No serious wheeling in the near future

I did something similar, I've had no issues with it holding up my RTT.

The thing I like most about this setup is that I can remove the tent/bars in under 5 minutes. Still allows me to haul things around if I need too

I was looking at yakima bars for a similar setup and the bars were rated for 200lbs. What bars/tower setup is that? No concerns with just mounting it to the top of the fenders instead of the inside of the bed with all that extra weight?

These are rated at 220 ea iirc but I've had not issue with the tent + me and a buddy up there. (Total 500 lbs or so)

Mine is mounted similar to @Sofla1984 above, I used a few bolts as well as the rivnuts though.

It's been on the truck since July, slept in it 5 nights or so.

Sorry it took me so long to reply. My Wife owns a bakery and I was busy getting our butts kicked for thanksgiving.

All good, thanks for posting them. Now I just have to decide if I want to go with a rack/RTT or camper shell

Sorry to resurrect and old thread, but @batlou , I have the same rack, adapters, and a backflip clone. Did you end up drilling and bolting the RCI adaptors to the bed at all? or are they purely held in place via the pressure of the backflip side rails squeezing them down?

I'm not having much joy with theinstructions from RCI.
