It seems the only dreams that stand out for me are the very troublesome ones, or the very good ones.
Mostly of the prior; just within the last week I dream something was wrong with my wife and I couldn't help her. Like she was having a stroke I think, but then I'm not even exactly sure what those symptoms would be
I guess a lot of dreams, eh subconscious, could have been because I'm leaving for work for awhile. Sometimes worry if she'll get along OK while I'm gone.

 

During a stroke, every minute counts! Fast treatment can lessen the brain damage that stroke can cause.

By knowing the signs and symptoms of stroke, you can take quick action and perhaps save a life—maybe even your own.

Signs of Stroke in Men and Women

• Sudden numbness or weakness in the face, arm, or leg, especially on one side of the body.
• Sudden confusion, trouble speaking, or difficulty understanding speech.
• Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes.
• Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance, or lack of coordination.
• Sudden severe headache with no known cause.

Call 9-1-1 right away if you or someone else has any of these symptoms.

 

Easiest way is to ask the guy to lift his arms & watch carefully for the signs you listed. Had one just before Christmas. Lucky the guy made out OK.

 

Do they have a different name when they're installed in a boat? Like Mercury Marine?
When I first moved to Arizona my Uncle had bought a used Cobalt that had a 350 engine and a jet drive.
It sure seem like a stylish boat in that day but it was problematic the first few trips out. I remember the jet drive needed overhauled was the major expense.

I worked with a fellow years ago, his retired dad lived with him. One morning before work his dad seemed just a bit odd. He seemed all right, just a bit off maybe...

Well, he would probably would have dismissed it except just before bed the previous night he had picked up a Readers Digest while in the bathroom and read an article titled "Recognizing the Signs of a Stroke" -- less than 9 hours before his dad had one.

His dad made a very good recovery because he got to the hospital so quickly following the stroke.

 

Boat (noun): Odd shaped hole in then water you throw money into.

Two happiest days in a boat owners life:
1) First day of ownership
2) Last day of ownership

Remember my thrift store $3 cast iron kitchen widget? It has become indispensable in my kitchen toolbox. This thing has elevated my toasted cheese sandwich to an art form.

1st happiest day:. When you build and use the boat you built.

2nd happiest day: when you sell that boat and start another one!

 

I should cut a bunch of these in different sizes on the plasma table.

Do a DYI kit for those that want to make their own handle.

Most ordinary boat owners are hard pressed to keep up with the maintenance much less actually build a boat.

I personally stay far from the water -- they say fat floats but I don't want to test the theory.

 

I bet that would be good for fried bologna sandwiches!

 

When I was a kid my father had a boat similar to this. It was a 1920 Fay & Bowen 22-1/2 foot, the style is called a Launch I believe. Originally had a gasoline engine, his had a steam engine.

 

Fried WHAT!?

 

It weighs just over 3 pounds.
