    Hey all,

I would like to remove the "TRD 4X4 Offroad" stickers on the rear quarter panels of my 2017 rig. My thought is to get two of the emblems which go under the mirrors. Has anyone done this? and is there a clean method for removal, also, where can I find a source for the emblems( I think they are red and flat black..) Thank you SO much.

Welcome to the forum. The stickers on the bed will peel off easily if you heat them up a little bit with a hair dryer. Don’t overdo the heat as you don’t want to damage the paint. After they are off you can clean up any residual glue with a mild cleaner like Goo Gone. Make sure you don’t use anything powerful like Goof Off or your paint will get messed up. The badges you are looking for are available on eBay.https://www.ebay.com/itm/175080721553

Wait till summer, or >70 degrees and sunny let it heat up and just start peeling. Use some mothers bug and tar remover and I’ll look like they weren’t ever there to begin with! Before and after

I did mine on my 2017. Warm day with a heat gun on low heat. Used WD40 to remove the residue. No regrets.

You mean like this? One thing to consider, after 5 years in the sun, you could have some ghosting left from the decal. Might have to wait that out while the sun fades that area as well.

    Oh look, another mod....
I did this a few months back. I wanted a solid black bed stick (the OEM was silver/gray-ish). To remove it I used a hair dryer to warm up the sticker. Turn it on high heat about 1 inch away from the sticker. Go over it evenly to heat up the adhesive.

After it's warm enough, you can peel it back with your fingernail (to get it started). Then, slowly peel it back as you continue to use the hair dryer to keep it hot. There will be some residue left over (there always is). I used Goo-Gone, a tericloth towel and lot of elbow grease!

    I replaced it with a sticker/decal that I found on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/search?q=2021+toyota+tacoma+bed+decals

Has anyone seen this shadow? I did mine like two years into the life of my previous quicksand Tacoma and there was nothing. Is it yellow or just dark or a mind trick seeing something in that space where there is suddenly nothing?

Very nice setup btw. Subtle with the badges. Not overkill.
