Hey guys, I recently got the trd pro westcott lift and couple of days after getting it, my passenger side shock is squeaking going over any bumps. Mind this truck only has 8,000 miles on it. Should I be worried?

Shocks, struts, or coil overs generally do not make noise when they are failing/have failed. If the noise is coming from the rear then it is likely the ever popular leaf spring squeak we all get. If it’s from the front then it could be a number of things, ball joints, control arm bushings, anti sway bar bushings, etc..

It’s the front of the vehicle where it’s at. I’ve done some investigating and at first I thought it was the UCA, but noticed it was the shock when I would push down and rock my vehicle from side to side.

It could be something contacting something it shouldn't. I would take it back to the installer and make sure there is no issue.

Sounds like a spring not seated properly and rubbing on a rubber isolator. If you had someone in install it, let them know and have a look.

My 2002 mustang with shorter eibachs (isolators removed) has a great stance.. but it sounds like a box of rocks when you drive over bumps...

post some pics so the Lift Ninjas can chime in
