I have 2 JL Audio 10W0-4 subwoffers that I want to install in my 2009 Tacoma TRD double cabin, without taking the back seats off and using the maximum amount of space as posible (literally using all the space behind the seats), I also have 2 amplifiers that I want to also put behind the back seats installed in the box, but I can find myself with good ideas for the disign, I have absolutely no clue of what are the specs of the amplifier since it's really old and a gift from a friend's dad, but the specs of the subwoffers are this

    DIAM
    10"
    FS(HZ)
    24.2
    VAS(L)
    69.4
    QTS
    0.4
    PWR(W)
    250
    SPL(DB)
    85.5
    IMP(OHM)
    4x1

I would really appreciate it if someone can also send the measurements since I'm building it myself, if not its alright, I'll just figure it out.

If you want to build it, I recommend some reading of www.12volt.com and www.bcae1.com. That’s where I got my start. The “sickness” only gets worse from there, haha.

What are the enclosure specs? Just a quick Google search returns a 1.2 cube foot ported, each.

If I were you, trade the speakers for something designed for a compact enclosure, because there's no way those will fit. My humble opinion.

Ported is hard to do in a 2nd gen, unless you only use one sub. But the box would take up most of the space, and you wouldn’t be able to put the amps back there. Agree with @Rock Lobster , look at sealed enclosures. That’s all you’ll get.

Yeah, I'm rethinking about putting the amps back there, i guess ill end up putting them under the seats, I've been in google all day long and ended up founding that I will need all of the space back there if I want both of them to fit properly

I also found that the optimum enclosures for this ones are: Closed, Vented, BP4 & BP6, but idk which one I should go with

Your limiting factor is your mounting depth. You need at a bare minimum a 6" deep box. (5.4 in mounting depth plus 0.5in back wall using the thinnest possible MDF, plus the tiniest amount of clearance) Using the calculator in your website says that a basic rectangle would need 48 in by 15 in by 6. Wedge shaped wont give you much wiggle room either since the limitations of the speaker depth mean that you can only make the box fatter. I really would be surprised if you could fit 6 inches behind the seat @ 15 inches above the floor, and even if you could, those dimensions won't get the best performance out of those speakers.

    Good luck

I was able to get 8” at the bottom of the floorboard behind the seat, but it involved figuring out a way to space the seat backs forward an inch using metal strips and flipped bolts, and moving the seat bottoms forward at the hinge at the front. If I remember, took me better part of a weekend. I don’t have them anymore, I’ve since moved on, and I sold them. It is possible, but a lot of effort is involved.
