I know about its use in the East... so I should have said "In the West since the Nazis it's been a symbol of evil, all the way to today and forever more."

I use to have the same liftmaster garage door opener installed on my visor to! I had to feng shui and clean up the look of my visor so I ordered a tailwind garage door opener.

I don't keep a garage door opener in the Taco, I have one on my keychain. Bought a 2 pack on Amazon for 8 bucks about a couple of years ago. They work exactly like they should. But since I don't park the Taco in the garage they only get used every so often like when bringing groceries home and stocking up the garage beer fridge.

Added a big tranny cooler and fan the other night and got that wired up, put my old big tranny cooler as the power steering cooler, and fixed my exhaust I crushed up yet again. Think i just need to skid the entire underside  Did the serpentine belt, swapped in my stock driveline as I usually just swap the beat up 1pc driveline for wheeling, and think my truck is ready for king of the hammers!

Got the UltraGauge installed today. Have used ScanGauge in previous vehicles so this will be a first for me. Already a couple things I like better about the ScanGauge: from what I recall on the ScanGauge you can just enter your tire size and it'll automatically do the math for speedo, etc. Seems on the UltraGauge you can only adjust speedo for tires by calibrating which requires driving 3+ miles between known mile markers... kind of frustrating in a state that doesn't make extensive use of mile markers. I also like that the ScanGauge has a Cat5-style wire you can disconnect from the unit which makes fishing the wire a lot easier.

In any case: I wanted to give this thing a shot on account of some of the features it has the ScanGauge doesn't so I'll give it some use before passing any judgement.

I wanted the gauge on the left-hand side of the dash but I'm not a fan of the suction cup mounts and they tend to fail pretty quickly with the heat where I live. I've loved my Bulletpoint "Taco Bar" so I figured I'd use their stuff to mount the UltraGauge. Their stuff is a bit pricey but my experience has been that quality is top-notch. I used their universal single ball assembly and just screwed it right through the dash garnish. The ball joint on the UltraGauge is too small to be directly compatible with the Bulletpoint arm sockets. I just shot a dab of hot glue into one side of the Bulletpoint socket and let it cure which gave it some extra thickness & grip to fit the UltraGauge ball just fine. Since the Bulletpoint hardware is aluminum it'll pull right off in the future if need be. Worked perfect.

The lowly SR doesn't have the fancy mirror so that's not an option for me. My Sequoia and Lexus both had the Home Link mirrors they were nice but a remote clipped to the sun visor did the same thing.

radio and gauges were getting dusty so I used a 'NEW' make up brush to clean them, then flicked the brush several times to clean it and did it again.......worked real good and hopefully caused no scratches on the softest plastic known to mankind

Got some stuff knocked out today.
Installed Meso total tail lights, mountain hatch tailgate insert, bullet proof fabrication front recovery points, and got the Agency6 hitch mounted recovery point.
Also washed the truck for the first time since November.

Been a bit since my last update, but between a 7 month old, catching Covid and then the flu, I haven’t had a ton of time for the Tacoma.

My audio upgrade is finally complete. Installed the OEM Audio+ Ref 500 system and then topped it off with a new Pioneer 6600NEX flush mounted.

    DEFA6D9B-10DB-417E-A585-1E13AE7ECA0D.jpg

Very happy with the sound, even before the HU upgrade. I more did the radio for wireless CarPlay and a cleaner look. I do miss knobs but I’ll get over it. Only issue I have is the backup camera isn’t coming on automatically in reverse, but I flashed the Maestro to turn on the cam with a long press on the call-end button so that will work for now until I’m willing to figure it out.

Probably a dumb question, but the bed rack on this tonneau cover renders it unable to open correct? I went with the RCI rack plus a revolver x4 to keep the usability of the tonneau, but I'm not the biggest fan of the revolver.

@BlarBlarjosh I can still open each section fully with the cross bars mounted, it's only when we have the iKamper on there that it won't.
