    yeah, if you look at that thread, he's on stock suspension. Must be wheel offset + spacers..

    Nothing wrong with them spacers and long travel. I ran them up front for a while until I got the correct offset wheels

    No no, I mean he's got +6 fenders and stock suspension(see photo), no LT. To achieve the look he has to have some large wheel offset and spacers. I have 0 offset and 1.25" spacers and my tires barely poke out past the OEM fenders. Though, I'm currently on 255 33s

    Tbh I want to see some definitive tests (with controls) determining increased wear on bearings as a wheel is moved away from the outer edge of a bearing. I’d like to see a chart of increased wheel to bearing distance vs. time for bearing failure and determine the measured contribution to failure that increasingly wide spacers provide for bearings.

    Same. From an engineering stand point, yes moving the wheel out should decrease the life of the bearing, but it would do so the same as having a wheel with different offset pushing the wheel out the same distance. Personal experience I think it’s nothing to worry about so long as you’re using good bearings to begin with. I think I threw 2” wheel spacers up front on my truck around 30k miles or so and when I changed the bearings almost 100k miles later they still felt nice and tight. Only changed them because I needed new spindles and was freshening up the whole front end. Think I kept one as a spare and threw it in my spare parts box

    Question in regards to caster and long travel...

    What type of caster can you get with a 3.5 kit? Does caster even matter at that point anymore?
    When the front wheels are pushed put that far does it amplify clearance issues with cab mount?

    Because the pivot point is being pushed outwards it actually helps clearance with the cab mount/firewall rather than hurt it. This is a roughly to scale drawing of a birds eye view to help you visualize it.

    Makes perfect sense. Thanks for the illustration. Do you have to settle for stock caster numbers with these kits?

    To be honest my truck hasn't seen an alignment rack in years so I have no idea what sort of caster numbers I have. I make sure my truck is level side to side ride height wise, rear cam all the way out, adjust the front one until camber is 0 (checked with angle finder) and then set toe with a tape measure. Truck drives fine and tires wear well.

    For axles are you guys running CVJs? Any other company that offers LT axles?

    A lot of companies offer their own shafts and require you to assemble them. CVJ offers preassembled comparable to what you would assemble yourself.

    JD Fab offers a ultra beefy axle with a 934 inner CV.
    RCV offers a full replacement mega beef CV as well.
