I think in some other viper cut thread I have at lest one more picture.

For real though you can't go too wrong. Just don't cut anything on the liner. Then, after your done with the heat gun, you may need to drill a hole and run a zip tie to keep it from flopping around. Hell, actually I think I even used the existing hole that connected the liner to the fender. That part is the easy part.

What’s the benefit of not cutting the liner?

I think this would be the only reason for me to want to cut up the front end. I do like the idea though!

has anybody had wind noise or liner flapping issues at highway+ speeds from the cut? integrity of the front end's panels at 80mph+ is the thing keeping me from doing this. i don't want to be surprised by wind issues since my truck mostly lives doing highway miles.

I have had zero issues. Also cut back the inner fender liner and secured with couple of self tapping screws per side.

I opted to leave the fender liners off, hopefully i don't regret it but I plan on going with a hybrid bumper in the future. Viper cut looks good for cheap-ish.

this looks really good man. I like that you didn't chop in as far as others towards the middle valance and left a fairly nice chunk of bumper there. What did you use for your curved section? That large of a curve looks really nice to me compared to some of the sharper ones I've seen. Any chance you could grab a measurement from your cut line to the vertical body line by the valance? Or even easier probably, do you remember what width masking tape you used to guide that cut?

I have a Total Chaos standard series +2 long travel so it's a little wider up front.

    Thanks bud.

Just did one today. This one is a conservative or "light" viper cut. Usually do them more aggressive. I really like how this one came out.
