Like several others already said, drive it stock to see what it does straight off the lot. Having said that, I drove mine across the street to a tire shop and put BFG KO2’s on immediately. Passenger radials (Kevlar or not) just can’t handle the sharp rocks and other nasties on the old logging roads I frequent with a bunch of hang gliders up top, and bodies in back.

My only regret is sticking with stock size and not moving up to 75’s for the extra 1/2” ground clearance and a few bucks cheaper. In the 2.5 years I’ve had it, I’ve gone lots of places one wouldn’t expect to be able to get to in a stock double cab long bed… only almost got stuck all by my lonesome in logging cut mud once, and only almost rolled it once on a bad road with a sandy washout. Travel with a friend and have recovery gear on board if it’s sketchy.

if you need a rack, the Yakima outpost is solid as a rock, and can hold a pretty significant 300# off-road load.

I certainly don't want to parrot what others are saying so sorry if I do so but if you plan on building your rig to be meant for offroading/ overlanding the very first thing that I would do is gear it and I would get a custom drive shaft if your gonna lift it. I was lucky that when I bought my pre-owned taco that the previous owner geared it because I slapped on a 3 inch dobinsons mmr kit on it and 33 inch tires and it's still just as peppy and it doesn't gear hunt when I'm in cruise control. But I'm dealing with intense vibrations at lower speeds and braking due to the drive shaft which is really annoying (only $600-$700 for a custom drive shaft at a local shop here in Utah). Then I'd buy front bumper so you can get a winch. This has saved me 2 times having a winch and trust me, once you use it once it pays for itself. Rock Sliders next then I'd get a solar generator. The list goes on man. A never ending build but the more prepared you become
