Looks suspiciously like a Land Rover Defender

Also looks like something that wouldn't be available with a diesel engine in the US. We'll probably get the model with a silly V6 engine like a jeep wrangler

No, no, No! Not a diesel! This is supposed to be a hydrogen cell vehicle. Mind you, battery electric will be the intermediate powertrain, but ultimately, as I understand, they want this to be hydrogen cell. Also, there will be a truck version too.

Am I the only one that is bugged that they mirrored the writing on the sidewalls on the tires that are on the ground? Or mirrored the image but only corrected the spare?

They only mirrored the rear tire on the ground.

The front and the spare are normal. o_O

So it looks like they're already starting out with Land Rover assembly quality.

    And apparently starting around $55k.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
I can sum up what it looks like to me in one word -EXPENSIVE!
But then -this is with no research on my part -- I may be wrong.
Probably cheaper than that Jeep Grand Wagoneer ad I saw where that thing starts at 69-79K w 4WD

Straight 6 from BMW. They won't offer the twin turbo turbodiesel in the states. This is the one vehicle I'd want a TD in, based on the landy aesthetic it has.

If that's the case, I'd seriously think about it.

You are all missing my point. So here is my point again:

SUV and TRUCK powered by HYDROGEN CELL are coming.

(Never mind what it looks like. Never mind diesel or gas. Screw cybertruck junk and ev crap, this is the real future here, hydrogen cell)

Hydrogen powered autos are never going to happen in the mainstream. It takes more energy to produce hydrogen than those resultant hydrogen molecules contain.

There is energy cost to everything, but hydrogen provides a far superior method of storage of energy.

Once they improve and scale up, the energy cost of hydrogen will improve.

There are already fleets of buses and commercial trucks powered by hydrogen cells, so this vehicle will just incorporate the technology into a passenger vehicle.

No matter how much production costs improve there will always be the problem of requiring more energy to produce than the hydrogen contains. Containing, transporting and storing the smallest molecule also poses myriad engineering challenges. If you think building out sufficient charging stations and grid infrastructure to support electric vehicles is difficult try to imagine doing the same for H2. It's simply not plausible.

For some applications H2 is perfect, like industrial processes requiring huge amounts of high quality heat. For those sectors for which there are simply no other alternative ways to decarbonize hydrogen is perfect but it doesn't make sense where there are better alternatives like batteries in cars. H2 would also be a good alternative for airplanes since batteries are too heavy, but again for aircraft you don't have to build out public infrastructure in the same way as you would for vehicles

Ok, maybe you are right. However, this manufacturer (and others) are trying to prove you wrong.

And personally, I'm happy that someone is thinking of an alternative to forcing EVs on everyone.
