Yeah close examination of the Sequoia press photos shows a solid rear axle indeed. I wonder if the LC300 primarily designed for global markets can't accommodate a hybrid battery, so Toyota stretched the wheelbase to make a Sequoia (which is hybrid-only).

Were you looking in the Ontario Tacoma Union FB group? I noticed the prices are unusually high there.

 

If you watch the TFL trucks overview of it, he goes inside and sit's in every seat, examines it all.

It does have a solid axel rear, and has smaller 3rd row seats because of this.

 

Thanks @Canadianguy91 . Didn't see one on Marketplace, but did see a bed extender. I have a hard tonneau cover, so apparently the divider won't work with that.

There is a bed extender in TO that would work. For now, I just bought a cargo net from the dealer for $40...

 

According to multiple sources the new Sequoia wheelbase is only 1" longer, putting it at 113". I don't think the platform was initially designed for hybrid battery and it is an afterthought for NA market.

Just in general on every possible group, people think too high of those parts, guess truck inflation prices makes them think they own "expensive" vehicle
