No it wasn't, but the tendency for some TW members to dogpile a new member who dares complain about a Tacoma is also not great.

I taped up the front of my skewp and did some hits. Then I took the tape off and did some more. Way faster with the tape off.

    So yes, I do believe.

Yes, @Speedfreak ...... Chrysler had a car in production with a small gas turbine. I believe in the late 50's or early 60's.

It didn't sell well due to several factors.

One of the big problems was the exhaust gas temperatures.

Yes. Torque alone is not power. Power is a product of Torque and Revolutions.

The 3.5L does haul ass once you give it some gas. As someone who had a 3rd gen and now drives a 2.5 gen, trust me when I say the power is there in the 3.5L.

While the 4.0 & 3.5 were originally designed for different things, it doesn't mean the 3.5L sucks. I'd be willing to bet you'd be happy with it once it is tuned - I know that alone made a huge difference for my 2019. I'm sure somebody around here would let you demo their tuned truck to see if that makes a difference.

You can also think about getting regeared so you get get some of that sweet, always there, low-end torque delivery back. Apparently ECGS makes whole gear swap kits now so it's easier than ever to remedy the issue -

You should check under your hood. My scoop feeds directly into the intake for my factory turbocharger.

That’s a good one. Tell us another joke.

get the KDMX tune. It really woke my truck up. I have 2021 auto OR, but I think they also have tunes for MT. I will regear only if I decide to get bigger tires.

So, you must have obviously been disappointed in your slower 2010?

I live at 6k feet and my 2017 has plenty of power on its 32 inch tires.

But I guess the SC is for you. Or maybe sell the truck and get the ranger with eco boost engine. I am gonna guess that it would be faster, but have no clue.

You bought it. You could have test drove it before signing and been like "wow, no balls, I'll pass" but you didn't. You wonder why these threads get these replies? You think your special? Thursday night special every week.

You have options, none of it will turn it into a full sized V8 truck.

    :p;)

I'm a fan of the KDMax Pro tune. The engine is a good engine but I think Toyota really set it up to accelerate.... delicately. There isn't much that can be said about the tune that hasn't already been said. It really does make the truck perform how it should.
