Those install instructions looks very informative and clear. Will there be install instructions for the rear add on lights?

I had the same hesitation about the a-Pillar (airbag).
I actually went out last night and tried all 4 cars I have, and Veracruz with it factory footwell lights was easier to get in at night,. That pushed me over the edge and I ordered the kit.

I would love puddle lights, but I think those spots are taken up by the 360 cameras in the Advance Tech. Maybe I could mount VLeds lights on the bottom of my running boards? Or on the frame? Run wires back into the can thru one of the body plugs?

 Nice try! Give it a couple of weeks — you guys won’t be disappointed. I’ve had the prototype on my truck for 6 months and it’s still one of my favorite (tasteful) upgrades that didn’t cost thousands.

@caribe makaira - so the puddle lights don’t take the spot for the camera under the mirror? I want the camera that is why I hadn’t spent a lot of time looking for the puddle lights.

now I might have another expense in my future.

I am in the same boat except that I got the V1 puddle lights and installed the switch months later.
I was hoping to never have to take that grab handle off ever again but I guess I will have to when these lights arrive. :annoyed:
All good though. First time wasn’t too bad so let a hope that second time will be smooth as well. :fingerscrossed:

When you install the footwell light harness + the splitter (it’s actually a splitter/adapter — I don’t use all of Stew’s puddle pod wires and he doesn’t use all of my footwell wires so it’s not a simple splitter… you’ll see) it will now be the equivalent of a V2 puddle pods harness .

This looks awesome, will have to put an order down once I'm a bit more caught up on my installs. After making use of plug n play harnesses for a couple switch panels and adding an AC outlet in the cab I'm not so terrified of popping panels and plugs apart anymore, so this would be ideal.

Sounds like you’ve got a handful of my other harnesses. Thanks a lot for the support!

The puddle light switch will work with the new harness no problem. You will connect the switch harness to the appropriate branch of my adapter/splitter and then the wiring is the exact same as described on his website. For your dsim — I don’t support it as that’s too much garbage in an a-pillar (also there are much MUCH easier ways to convert a ground signal to + just by using a relay). Never really understood the point of having the module that then goes to a relay… just cut the middle man. I would have to build you something custom to accommodate all of it safely.
