    Hey all,
Figured I’d finally get rid of the 2 year old vi on my truck and as luck would have it I found a broken leaf the night before the inspection. Big thanks to Toyota for the crap leafs in the first gens and changing the spring length after 2 years. I have a set of springs from a 95 pickup with 2” AAls and shocks from a buddy who went a different route with his build, just wondering if anyone has done the swap and if they bolt right in or if I’m gonna have to cut the hangers off and move them. Any advice would be appreciated TIA

That leaf spring lasted 26 years, more than most vehicles do as a whole. I wouldn't be too hard on it

I'm not sure to answer your question about the Pickup leaf packs being compatible with a 1st gen. I wouldn't count on it. But if you just steal a spring off it to replace the broken one on your truck that could probably work, I would do it to both sides though so you don't end up with a lean.
