I installed Kings front and rear about 3 months ago with the previous owners leafpack still in there, it was on a 1” block. I removed the leaf pack today and installed my new Dakar leaf pack with aal and ome bushing kit with the greasable shackles. Out the gate driving around its super bouncy. I have 350lbs high roof fiberglss topper and have about 200lbs of weight in the bed thats always ther. Whats with the bounce? Any help, suggestions. Thanks!

Bounce is always either too much spring or not enough damper.

Thanks! I never have removed a leaf from a leafpack, gonna do some utube studying and do it by Thursday afternoon. Read where guys say remove the 3rd leaf down? Also they added a leaf because I chose that option, which leaf would that be? Ima give wheelers a call tomorrow. Thanks for your help.

Pretty sure this one is the aal, you'll see the other ones have the rivets that attach the clamps.
Removing a leaf is fairly easy, you don't need to remove the entire pack. Put truck on jack stands and Just remove the ubolt on one side and loosen the other side. Using your jack, you can lower the axle. Then you get a large C-clamp and fit it onto the pack and tighten it down. Take the bump stop off and remove the center pin. At this point, it is just a matter of undoing the C-clamp very slowly, spring tension is nothing to take lightly. Once you see the pack separating and can wiggle the leaf you want out.
Or remove the leaf pack and put it on the ground laying on its side, add C-clamp and remove center pin, slowly release the clamp and remove the leaf.
To put back together, compress the pack with the C-clamp, install center pin and put the pack back in.

put a couple old stock oem wheels, 4 km3 tires, my old leaf packs, 15 gallons of water and 5gallons of gas in a jerry can in the bed, hopefully this settles it down. Maybe i’ll go wheeling with this shit in the bed to stretvh out the rear, if this doesnt do it i’ll just remove the 3rd leaf down.

Try doing some compression or rebound fiddling on your shocks too, see if you can find a happier medium where you aren't rebounding up so quickly where it jostles you, and compressing either slower or faster. Might make it just that much more comfortable once you remove the overload.

With the added weight it feels better, but I dont plan to have this much weight in my truck all da time. So i guess remove 3rd leafpack

Are these bendable? For I wont have to remove the whole leafpack to remove a leaf?
