that is a good bit higher. Do you plan on notching out the underside of the bed for the fenders to sit a little higher, like I did on mine?

either way, I think you should be able to make an under bed filler work just fine at that height. It’ll just be a matter of cutting out the bent sections of metal tubing and straightening the flow with the pieces of hose.

At this point I’m thinking not trim the frame but I won’t know until I set the bed on and see where it wants to sit.
Bed delivery was delayed another week so It’s more waiting…

So I went back and skipped through the power wash thread (A while back I read through every page starting on the flatbed install). Forgive me if it’s there somewhere, but what did you have to do to wire your lights? Did you have to use a converter?

What year of truck is the flatbed going on? Do you want plug and play wiring?

The Aluma beds come with a standard 4 pin harness for hooking into the trailer plug. Then you just have to tap one of the reverse lights for your backup lamps.

if you want a more permanent solution, they sell taillight taps that convert the standard taillight signals into a 4-pin compatible signal. Then you can either hardwire or plug in those taps into the bed harness.

you’ll still need to tap one of the reverse wires separately, as far as I know.
@Ralf probably has some better/more specific suggestions.

It’s an 18. I wouldn’t mind ditching some of the factory wiring and plug the flatbed into a factory wiring plug. If that makes sense?

Great info. Initially I could just use the factory trailer plug, but maybe a good permanent solution would be the taillight taps that convert to the 4 pin. Have a link by chance?

Yea I’ve got a plug and play pigtail I could send down to you! You can add your own lights, beats cutting, splicing and trying to wire it in. These connectors plug right into the factory tail light connectors.
