Shit! That's not what I was saying at all and I apologize if it came across that way.

I was simply saying, "Hey, here are my credentials. Take 'em or leave 'em."

You know how it is on a message board - you get a million and one different responses and sometimes (not saying this is the case with you at all) you find out the guy giving you advice has no f'ing clue what they're talking about.

It's like getting firearm advice from some dude posing as an expert and the only training he has had (militairy or otherwise) has been through Call of Duty. And he's 12.

That's all I was saying - not trying to insult anyone at all. Apologize if I did.

I gotcha. I really wasn't taking a stab at you- just sort of making fun the fact that everyone on TW is a subject matter expert on everything. I also can give you free legal advice, change your tires, and beat Call of Duty Part 74 all at the same time.

well you got alot of good info in this thread. one way to not only get lean relatively fast, but also get healthy is to check out the paleo diet. ska himself recommends a version of it as well. paleo takes some getting used to, but youll be better off for it.

You could always build your own gym too ... http://www.roguefitness.com/

Christ ... Crossfit is a disease. But the good kind of disease. Not the penis rots and falls off kind.

im currently taking Syntha 6 strawberry milk shake, tastes just like strawberry Nesquick. i would NOT recommend it for losing weight, however. it's high in calories, 200 a scoop, its also high in fat and carbs (which is why it tastes so good). since your trying to lose weight, go with Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey or Muscle Milk Whey Isolate. They might not tast as good, but they have a lot less calories and less carbs, the Muscle milk has ZERO fat!

    a couple links...

notice how many more calories, fat and carbs are in the Syntha

I just read info here but I do have some credentials here (use to bodybuild in local shows and power lift and still holding a state record and high school records) in this topic..

If your doing a lot of cardio I would recommend a moderate carb diet low in fat (fat source should be from almonds, peanut butter, olive oil, or avocados)..

If ur not doing so much cardio I would recommend low carbs to none with a higher fat diet (same sources as above)

Either way I would keep the protein high to at least 1 gram per pound you weigh

If your just looking to tone then ya machines are fine but if you wanna build muscle I would stay with free weights and mostly compound exercises such as barbell benching squats and deadlifts..

Edit: also I would not recommend drinking milk.. Unneeded cals bro and optimum nutrion protein is good stuff and cheap no need the expensive shit just imo of course

You get calcium, tons of vitamins, fiber, and protein from milk. If you want to cut the fat, you can always drink skim, in the universal light blue bottle. Remember you have to look at the whole picture. Not just the muscles, but the thousand other systems that function in your body. Your body is the most finely tuned machine in the world (some just need a tune up).
