    Morning.
    Can’t see my mailbox..
So thinking about 20 inches here..
So another cup off coffee and then will attack the snow.
It was an actual blizzard. Bean counters and their 14 page list of parameters
Finally got all the numbers to call it.
I’ve seen worse that weren’t blizzards.
    Have fun today..
I’m going to play all day..

    oh yea.
We had cat one winds too…

What year was that? I was on the Enterprise off the coast of Vietnam in 1969. Loaded bombs on A7's 10-11 hours every night.

23 degrees in Ocala FL this morning. The dog loves it but it’s the coldest I have been in 30+ years. Still doesn’t feel as bad as this past Tuesday when it was 50 degrees and steady drizzle. I’ll be sure to look back on this post come August when it’s hell hot and stupid humid.

    Morning all:

OH, I forgot that we were much younger then, today that may not work as well!

Kurt mentioned about batteries, I can't believe the amount of batteries that I need any more for various things, I started switching to chargeable's for a lot of the stuff that runs off of batteries.

Ended up with very little snow here, maybe 2 1/2 -3" max., I can still see a bare area under one of the big pines in the yard.

Welcome Doug, fill up the cooler and then pull up a chair on the porch, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY. As you can see, we discuss anything from poopers to more serious topics, just no politics, the mods. will give a time out for that!

I am happy with the Costco Signature 10 HA with rechargeable batteries. I usually put them in at 8am and remove them at 10pm with no problems. From what I am told, by friends, the Costco Audiologist is hit or miss. I have 3 Costco's pretty close to me anf the Costco at Arundel Mills was recommended most of the time.

Welcome Doug. Beverage station is to your left, it is your turn to fill up the beer cooler. Word of caution stay out of Mikes rocking chair. Anywhere else is fair game. We do ask, from time to time, that you help with the lawn cutting. We have 2 zero turns, a JD and an Exmark, plus a 20 in push mower for trimming. Alos if you have time post up a pick of your Tacoma.

The chili I made yesterday was quite possibly the best I have ever made. I did have a few pieces of pork ribs with bone that I will smoke, along with some wings, in the EX6 today.

Wow, I was just going to ask my fellow grey beards if they knew of any hearing aids worth the money that didn't cost 5K or better. what brand are you looking at if you don't mind my asking.

Got a set of rechargeable Resound GNs a couple of years ago. First set I ever had so I asked audiologist for recommendations and they were it. Very good sound quality, fit and sit behind the ear. There is a pushbutton on each one for volume control and just pop them in the charger when turning in for night. Haven't gone dead on me yet. I think they were $12 or $1500 CAN.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Sunny 50* here with no snow - I'm glad most of you checked it OK!
It's the wind that makes a blizzard, and seems you got it. Have fun cleaning it up Mike!
Bike is awesome Greg, really looking sharp. And the most important part about the aids, is getting what is right for you to hear better in comfort, not the price. But as a one week user of rechargeable, I will tell you that is an awesome change. One thing to think about, batt units aren't "sealed" so you can replace them. Any moisture (sweat) gets in those batteries, they will be toast in minutes. My head sweats, and I simply gave up wearing them outside above 60* - which ain't ideal. New ones are "sealed".
Putz and football - that's what I'm gonna do today.

I have tried two official hearing aids from Costco and probably 8 or 10 different PSAPs. Have an appointment to try a third Costco set in a couple of weeks. My experience is that rechargeable aids have a distinct disadvantage if I forget to charge them at night. Therefore I prefer to use battery types, tho I might be convinced otherwise. One thing I insist on is the speaker in the ear.
