Same post/link updated with premium fuel dynographs for 4runner, in case anyone here with a Tacoma also has a 5T4R.

3GT SC tune continues to be worked on in the background as one of the YW primary projects.

YotaWerx Supercharger tune testing has moved into full throttle pulls while datalogging and now expanding to include both manual and automatic transmissions tune testing!

Post #1 has a couple small updates.

WRT 3.5L NA tunes, available tune options now follow the nicknaming structure from our tunes on the 4runner side: "Weekend Warrior" and "Active Duty", inspired by our proximity to Fort Bliss. The nicknames are related to how the tunes drive. As an oversimplification: casual vs more aggressive.

The forthcoming 3.5L FI tune for 3GT owners with the Magnuson supercharger is nicknamed "Stryker".

@mZiggy Do you have a feel for how far off the S/C tune is? Is it a few weeks or a few months?

    Optimistically, "soon".

The short answer is that it'll simply be ready when it's ready. By the end of December to mid-January would be very nice to see, but I cannot guarantee anything.

We are trying to make this the best possible tune for you guys, which will go so far as to release the tune when it is determined to be ready and then still tinker in the background with willing testers, constantly looking for ways to improve it as additional features become available in VFTuner software which will further improve our ability to constantly refine this tune for the community.

We already planned to offer free updates to customers as future iterations of the tune are completed.

Nonetheless, we don't want to release a tune that isn't as buttoned up as possible in the meantime. We keep finding out little ways to further refine this tune and we want you to come to YotaWerx confident that the tune you are receiving is complete and excellent, and that you are not *dependent* upon a future update.

One of the major bars to release is also the VIN-locking feature coming to VFTuner. YotaWerx will not be distributing tunes that are not VIN-locked. Without that feature, the only way to get this tune will be via a YotaWerx trusted/affiliated tuner.

I assure you we are working hard to get this tune finished quickly AND thoroughly. And this wouldn't be possible without the generosity of our testers dedicating so much personal time and resources for this effort.

Just a small update, good progress continues to be made in the background on the SC tune

Our work with @a2lowvw , @Formidable , @tonered , and @GoldenBrew continues to pay off and I believe we're very close to solving one of the bigger hurdles that we've been determined to solve and overcome for you guys for awhile now. It hasn't been an obstacle for the operation of the tune itself, but something that will definitely improve the performance and driving experience for you guys.

There is a big difference in partial throttle response. The drivability of this tune is much more practical. Essentially the best parts of the OV tune 2.0 got applied to the magnuson. When torque is instantly available the partial throttle response feels very similar to driving a V8. The FI crowd is gonna love this.

    Stuff and things
It's been a slow month for both @Formidable and myself. John has recently finished the clutch break in and is going back to they dyno on December 28th. I have ordered a dual sensor wideband O2 sensor kit, an 87mm pulley for further "testing" and have a a bunch of other non supercharger related parts on order that hopefully don't slow down the progress. I think the hope that the VF 1.5.0 release would come with a bunch of new fields and tables we could play with but that hasn't been the case so far. On the A/T side we keep playing with some of the shift tables trying to make it drive as good as we can. I have flashed back and forth from the Magnuson software multiple times recently to compare the files back to back and am very happy with the progress we have made. For every big revision we have make we seem to find a new brick wall in front of us. The goal is to keep breaking down those walls until there are none left. Considering the tuning has virtually all been done remotely by @mZiggy based upon our feedback and data logs it's impressive where we are compared to where we started. @tonered has been onsite for John's previous dyno runs and was making adjustments along the way that really wouldn't have been possible without actual wideband O2 readings. Hopefully some good things come from the dyno day on the 28th

For some time now, the YotaWerx team has been working on updating our 3GT NA tunes for both the AT and MT, and we're looking forward to release soon. The premium fuel tune is complete we believe, and the regular fuel tunes are nearly there.

Special thanks to @tonered , @MOC221_ , @Saeros , @Shellshock , @newdles , @su.b.rat , and other individuals not on TacomaWorld for their work and time providing logs and feedback to help with this!

Working on scheduling dynographs for these tunes.

    Stay tuned.

We are super excited to announce that, pending confirmation via dyno and hopefully no other unexpected surprises, the YotaWerx Supercharger tune for 3GT owners with the Magnuson supercharger and 90mm pulley has been completed, with exception to shift logic for the Automatic transmission. Still need to dial that in further prior to release and find a happy medium for everyone.

But the work doesn't end here! Dedicated work on the 87mm pulley will begin shortly.

As always, special thanks to everyone involved in this effort! 4 months of headaches and frustrations, delays for various reasons, letdowns and successes.
    @a2lowvw , @Formidable , @SK808 , @tonered , @4x4rich89 , @GoldenBrew

More info to come once dynographs are in hand.

    Been looking good.

We ended up actually revisiting AFR because one of our extreme cold weather testers reported excessive enrichment in those cold temps, so we've been exploring options on how to best target a richer AFR that supports more ignition while not becoming excessively rich when the temps get closer to zero.
