Now that I put my cap on, I need to replace the rear block for either a aal or whole pack. The front is lifted 1.5” and the rear has a 1” block, I believe I want at least 1.5-1.75” lift outback as I do want the rear a little higher then the front.

With that said how does the aal ride vs the rxt pack at stage 1? I do not want any firmer ride then stock and honestly with the cap on the back the rear is very nice feeling but the springs are totally flat. Pic for attention 40764B95-D21F-416E-99F9-2AC2BB41943B.jpg

I’m currently waiting on my icon rxt leaf pack option 2 to arrive can’t wait. I like rake. When loaded as well. My aal is getting tired. You could do option 1 see if it works with cap. If not move the extra leaf they send you I go option 2.

    IMO

I rocked option 1 when I first got my RXT once it settled I went to option 2 and it's been perfect. No weight in the rear 90% of the time.

So I'm running extended travel Kings with about 2.5 lift in front and was running King shocks with AAL on stock leafs. When I installed the RXT leaf pack at Option 1 with no weight in the rear you get about an 1inch to 1.5inch in the rear. The two things I noticed was at Option 1 was the ride was night and day difference from the AAL and that the taco lean was back. I would not go Option 1 if you have any weight installed on he truck. Option 2 is what I should have installed from the start, I now have a full size 33 mounted in the bed, bed mounted hi lift, and bed mat. I'm not mad I went with Option 1 from the start because it allowed to be gauge how it feels, rides and looks; plus when I went to Option 2 I greased all the individual leaf pads and metal spaces in between the leafs so I don't get the famous RXT squeak. You'll get 2.5 or more with Option 2 it just depends how much weight you run at all times.

P.S. I just towed with Option 2 last week. I had to move my 2,000lb Snap on tool box, dirt bike, and Harley. The leafs handled it like a champ.

I'm on the same suspension as you with RXT Option 1 and DCLB. With sliders, bed mat, and another 40 lbs of tools I'm at 23.25in after settling. Was initially about 24in after install. Makes stock feel like poo

Thank you bro. I have sliders , full skids and with camp gear probably will go option 2 to retain rake when loaded. Thanks again

I guess I didn’t consider what weight I do have in the bed. I have a full size 33” tire on stock steel wheel, bed mat, and now cap. Also on the truck is a set of factory cast running boards so they have some weight to them.

I have the RTX on stage 3 For about 30,000 miles now and will say I would not go that route again. The leafs flatten out fairly quickly with a constant load of about 500 lb ( camper, sliders, top rack). While loaded (1000lb?) the amount of body roll was down right dangerous at highway speeds. I would go with a heavier duty leaf pack.

I do run Kings 2.5 with adjusters and setting it on its stiffest setting helps a bit with the body roll.
