    True!!!

But only for today; can you believe the COVID test I took this Friday (not rapid) isn't eligible for my admission back to school?

Apparently we all need to wait until today to take a rapid test, to ensure we are negative due to the virus incubation period and all :jerkoff:

I am leaving for work in an hour though.

Right? Rapid aren't all that accurate anyway.

Apparently they want us to rapid test so we can get back right away after this forced 5-days off. We all know each ass on a seat pays schools money.

Check this out too; they'll accept an at-home test which I'll be taking later today.

Dumb. All this testing and the different standards and regulations different places try t enforce are all just total BS now. It's stupid.

Shit like that is why you cant hardly find at home tests. Everybody is using them and they dont even have symptoms.

Making people test for a virus that they dont show symptoms for is pants on head stupid, imo.

    Exactly!

I don't even want to use up the test, and we didn't go out and buy one either. It's the free ones that were sent out via USPS.

I had no problem going locally to get tested, but the damn school won't accept it since it was 'too soon'

I'd go again but then waiting for my results would mean more time spent off school when we're supposed to return tomorrow.

It's time they just chalk it up to the yearly flu and move on. So much worry for so much normal.

So I got email the week before last, on a Friday, that I had potential close contact with a Covid case here at work. Email said I needed to call medical ASAP for further instructions.

I call and it goes straight to hold. They are apparently very busy. I'm on hold for almost 45 minutes and finally give up. Call back and leave a voice mail with my name and contact numbers and that I was emailed to call them.

Weekend goes by, no calls from them. Get to work the following Monday and still nothing, just more emails from over the weekend, telling me to contact them. One had a link with actions to take, which included quarantining at home for at least 5 days and getting tested. Even if I wasn't showing symptoms. If I tested negative, I could come back to work but would have to charge the time I was out to PTO.

Well, fuck them. I stayed at work, haven't heard a damn thing from them since. I'm not wasting MY PTO because THEY forced me to stay home for potential exposure. Especially when I had zero symptoms the whole weekend and still haven't shown any.

It's a fucked up system that I will not abide by unless I am actually sick.
