I cut the cord last year...finally.

Anyone considering an antenna setup I would highly recommend this guys channel on Youtube..
    https://www.youtube.com/c/AntennaMan

He's a wealth of knowledge and greatly helped me decide which setup to choose.

My goal was to pull in some Ct stations rather than the NYC /Jersey stuff I have no interest in.
The NewHaven ABC affiliate comes in good, but NBC Ct is marginal due to terrain factors.

On a good day, like today, I can scan over 80 OTA channels. Normally around 70 or so.
Unfortunately due to my location, most are from NYC or Jersey off the back of the antenna.

Televes DatBoss for an antenna and a RCA rotor about 30ft in the air.
It's a nice setup that works.
We also have Netflix ,Prime and a couple hundred Samsung channels as well.

Not really sure what the brand name was, cost will be determined by what my needs are after the hearing test. But I'm trying to stay under 2 grand.

Back at work after the shoulder thing.
    Tentative contract at work.
Very attractive to me. If it flies, I'll be able to pull the rip cord 1st quarter next year.:D

I watch that guy! Good honest reviews. I'll get the same antenna you have this summer when it warms up and I can get it mounted. But I'll probably not do the rotary thing. I really don't watch that much TV. An Amazon movie once in awhile.

I got my cargo box (aka a milkcrate) mounted with stainless steel hardware. I had to drill 2 holes in the aluminum platform.

I like the color. Tundras are a nice size large pickup. The Big 3 large pickups will not fit into my 1960's garage.

My Costco Signature 10's take about 3 hours to fully charge.

I have a 1:00 pm ophthalmologist appointment today. Not sure if Medicare, my Medicare supplemental plan or ESP vision will cover the cost. Not really worried about the cost, I just want a doctor to look at my eyes.

    Morning all!
Borough news: our mayor passed away late last week. His viewing was held at the fire station that's just up the street that he was affiliated with for 50+ years.
You've all heard the saying "you learn something new everyday".
Well I learned that to fill his seat that council has the right per Borough charter, from the 1800's, that they may offer the office to an immediate family member. Ie: son, daughter, wife.
    I did not know that!

Saves the local government the cost of an election. Could be a good thing but probably not.

    Morning all:

Those milk crate's make great cargo carriers for a bike Greg, I have them on both my mountain bikes, I was able to just zip tie them on.

Me too Tom, I couldn't fit the full size pickups in my 2 car garage either.

Now you know Harry, always interesting to find out what's all on the books that no one really knows about!

Yeah, we'll have to wait and see. A family member doesn't have to accept but if they do that person has to get the approval from the local (democratic or republican) party.

    Isn't that the truth!

I found these cool little mounting brackets specifically for milk crates on etsy. It won't slide around.

Went out to the shooting range this morning. Haven’t fired any handguns for awhile. Been concentrating on shotguns and duck and pheasant hunting. I just took 3 of my conceal carry guns - a 38 special, a 357 mag and a 9mm. I’m definitely a little rusty and need to spend more time on the range. I had forgot how much fun target shooting is. Went through 250+ rounds, ain’t cheap but worth very penny. Planning a trip to Cabelas tomorrow to restock ammo. Damn it was fun.
    Here’s the 3 I shot today.
