Thanks! Yep, gonna be a while I think.

Looking mainly in SE Houston where the new office is, but anywhere outer loop from Friendswood up to Summerwood is in play.

If I have my way we will end up in Clear Lake City near Johnson Space Center.

good luck. i grew up in South Houston and Lake Conroe. i really miss the area and prefer it over NTX, but something about you marry your wife's family...

I'm sure you'll enjoy it in the winter. but I'm wishing you the real luck in the summer when your initiation begins in July.

hope your move goes smooth.

    Thanks!

Ugh, yeah I'm glad we are headed down just after summer. This way we have a chance of loving it before what is effectively two full-time heatwave PA summers back to back without the break in humidity overnight.

yeah, that will be the challenge. the heat is one thing, just S Texas heat and humidity together... but you'll have the coast right there which is super nice.

I've got the feeling this is a wrap for the knobs. I will hold on to mine as long as I own the truck. Kinda like Meso's tails.

SE Houston, pretty set on the clear lake city area. We've been here since the 20th, but still no house secured yet. An offer has been made.

If this one works out, there is ample garage space for a lathe and mill.

I suppose it is time for an update here as I have gotten a few questions this week as to when I will be making more knobs.

Unfortunately, the new job has a huge demand on my time, and will not be able to make knobs for the foreseeable future. This might even be for good, but I will never say that.

I'm settling in nicely here in Houston, we did get that first house in the Clear Lake area ... can't believe it was that easy to get a house for us in this crazy market. However, I am having a much more difficult time Tundra shopping ... these dealerships are lunatics.

First thunderstorm here was pretty shocking. I thought thunder was thunder, but it seems 3x louder here. That, and why do we have gutters on houses here? Totally ineffective.

    Thanks dude!

Here is how I spent my day off ... I need to build a pergola for sun protection, because I'll be out here a lot.

Damn Yankees and their pork shoulders ... brisket is next.

Congrats on the new house. Glad you're getting settled in.

At least "Winter" is pretty short down here, but you'll be cursing that Summer heat/humidity till Sept.

I am kinda disappointed that there may never be a dick butt radio knob, but grateful that I've gotten 2 killer shift knobs you created.

    Good luck Rick

I am still full, 8lb shoulder (raw) and i probably ate close to 2lb cooked when it was finished. Had a nice bark on it, so it was difficult to stop.

Maybe if i get desperate, ha. I am trying for a 20-21 though, so most of those are used at this point. What new are left, have nitrogen in the tires and all that other nonsense.

    I haven't ruled out a 22, just heavily leaning towards 2.5 gens.

    Thanks!

Winter here is great, plenty of 80 degree days mixed in. Feels like the fall to me, with bursts of summer weather.
