Hi all, I have a 2018 trd tacoma 4x4 with 54k on it. I just bought it and noticed a very very light chirping sound coming from what i assume is the back of the truck towards the bed when i drive. I was concerned it was the suspension. Took a look at the leaf spring which look perfectly fine, no visible rust from the bottom of the truck. I read it could be the U joints (who knows the last time if at all- they were greased so planning on doing that this weekend). However it doesn't seem loud enough compared to how people report their U joints in need of grease to sound.

Any ideas where to start or what it could be? Sometimes I drive over bumps or down the road and listen, the noise doesn't necessarily correlate with hitting bumps, I hear it going down a flat noise. Its very very faint but hey I want to take good care of this baby and its driving me a little nuts.

    Thanks in advance!

Can also upload a video if it helps

there's a rubber insulator between the leaf springs that tends to squeak when it gets dirty. you can try hosing it off then spray it with some silicone spray to see if that's the culprit. also, u-bolts may need tightening as they come under-torqued from the factory.

Big thanks on your response! Any input into a silicon spray of choice? I'll lubricate the rubber insulator and torque those u bolts and report back.

    Much appreciated

any silicone spray should work. i think they are all pretty much the same anyway. CRC products are good but any will do.
