Got a 2019 Tacoma DCLB have a bunch of parts on order that are coming and need a suspension to support it. Front mods are hidden winch mount, winch, full skid plates, uptop bravo roof rack. Rear mods rci bed rack, and roof top tent. So total constant weight so far; front 300lbs, rear 210lbs without any gear which I plan on taking my kayak(125lbs) out to alpine lakes. Not looking to go rock crawling but going on moderate trails to get to those alpine lakes and the good camping spots. The kit should give me about 2 inches so is a UCA needed? I running 265/75/r16 KO2s on the factory wheels and not looking to go any bigger for the time being. Does this kit look good or is it overkill? Is there something better for the price range of $2000 or cheaper?

    Thanks in advance. Front Shocks

You’ll be fine w/o the uca. Are you wanting to net 2” inches of lift?

Ideally yes. If it’s a little less then 2 or more it wouldn’t be too big of a deal.

I’d post this in the 3rd gen section too. Plenty of those guys will have the answers. You’ll need to acct for sag of the coils, compression from the weight of said items etc.

Maybe check out Ironman, but when the kits are not on sale I wouldn’t get it. They’ll probably have another 20-25% sale soon. Or if you reach out to them through Instagram they might hook you up with a discount. (Disclaimer, I have the Ironman stage 1 with SPC uppers (and E rated tires) and the lift/combo is a little too stiff for my preference, though it has been great overall). https://ironman4x4america.com/foam-cell-pro-suspension-kit-suited-for-2005-toyota-tacoma-stage-2/

That said, reach out to the all knowing @AccuTune Offroad and let them know what you have and your plans. They are a great company and always helping out here. Even though I didn’t buy my lift from them, they’ve answered questions I had.

If you are trying to stay around 2" I'd probably keep it simple and stay with the Toyota setup. Not sure what exactly it is, but those red TRD UCAs and red springs look damn good and it'll all be within warranty. Plus, if you are staying with 265s that'll give you a nice amount and all you need. You can do an AAL for the extra weight in the back, but I'm pretty sure the TRD setup will handle the added weight up front just fine. Tons of options for the rear springs.

Personally, I'd avoid OME. @BudFriendguy has some experience with them.

I went with an Iron man setup but if I was to go back, I'd go with the TRD setup. The ride will be good and not too rough. Tbh, I haven't done the research on pricing for the Toyota stuff. I'm sure with your budget it's right in that range.
