Question for those who have changed out the rear leafs.

My factory leafs are beyond flat and the dealer doesn't want to change them for free/cheap so figure I might as well upgrade.

I am trying to not lift too much over stock and don't want to lift the front right now. Eventually will have a lightweight shell on the back and guessing around 300lbs total loaded for camping trips etc. Also occasionally tow a boat but planned on sumo or timbrens for that.

I can get a good deal on the 095's through work but not sure if the rear end will be up to high if I go that route?

I've been looking too. Doesn't seem like there is much aftermarket support for anything that doesn't lift at least 1.5". I'm trying hard to avoid a lift.

That's what I was afraid of... I really don't want to both buy a new set for dealer and do add a leaf on top of that.

The deavers don't look too bad I think I could live with 1" of lift but not really sure how much mine has sagged anyone have the factory measurements fender to tire etc in rear so I can figure out how goofy it would look?

I agree it's not worth dropping the springs under the axle...

There's also Alcan out of Grand Junction, CO. They do custom leaf set-ups. Just give them your required lift(zero in your case) and the amount of weight you plan on having back there 75% of the time(this is ALL weight- including the shell) and they can give you a quote.

Yeah that’s nowhere local to me. I have a set of low mile take off leafs from my truck just sitting in the garage but I’m on the othe mr side of the country. Maybe check your local Facebook marketplace and craigslist for anyone that might have a set of take off springs?

Thanks for thinking of me. I have looked a little off and on locally people around me are asking enough for take offs that I might as well buy new cheapest I've found was $400-500 for just the leafs. Will keep looking.
