Took the Taco skiing recently and have a few observations to share:
Ski Storage- 175 cm skies easily fit in the short bed. Could probably fit 185's too.
On the highway - I maintained ~70 +/- 1MPH. Several 18-wheelers hung behind me for >50 miles, so it seems like a good speed. Steering feel is dead-on center.
Seat Comfort and Driving Position - Tacos get a lot of criticism here, but once it's all dialed in, overall comfort is excellent. Visibility is superb - I like the relatively upright windshield.
Climate Control - haven't quite figured out how two get it just right. Don't like warm air on my face. I tend to run only the floor registers with a high temp (77) and a low fan speed to override the auto function. Any suggestions?
Tailgating - tailgate height is perfect for sitting and enjoying lunch. And unlike the salt-encrusted bumper of an open hatchback, the tailgate (I have OEM tonneau) is clean.
Fuel Economy - 19.4 mpg mixed highway, secondary roads, and a couple of miles 4-wheeling on the access road
Overall Impression - excellent! Looking forward to our next trip.

Photo taken at Belleayre, NY. Until today’s r*in, January’s skiing has been excellent; was even able to ski natural snow trails.

PM me if you ski or ride weekdays at the “Belle” and want to meet up sometime. But of course, there are no friends on a powder day!
