Looks great without the expense of the lift! Assuming no serious off-roading that is just fine.

    It's pronounced "bro" grille

Good looking setup. I'd recommend using the search function and browsing around a bit. You can start a build log here:

    3rd gen build logs

Another helpful thread would be the "what have you don't to your 3rd gen today" so you can see all the random money we throw at upgrades, lol, and to give you inspiration. It's a sticky at the top of this forum.

There is also tons of specialty and specific threads to browse. In the end, the go to is always here, but just trying to get you familiar with the forum instead of posting question after question in the same thread. You won't always get the answers you are looking for that way.

Anyways, great looking truck and welcome to TW!

Modifications are bad and only bad people modify.
I am kind of in the OP's situation but do spend about 1/3 of my time off road, good information for a beginner in the truck world like us here.

Regarding the TRD lift, I don't think it's that bad if you get a camera/sensor recalibration, a Pro style grille and an alignment with it at the $2500 price point and just want to get it done "quick and dirty". Adding those services/products to the cost of what you're planning with the 5100s would probably get you close enough to $2k price point where the TRD lift could make sense for some people in some situations. OP was ready to dish out $4-5k for suspension alone that he would not necessarily appreciate and you guys did a good job showing him the way.

I think your truck looks hot as it is and hope you enjoy it budy.

I’m slowly learning how to use the forum. What part of Montana you in? I’ve got a buddy that’s in Bozeman.
