I have that same trunk in mine. Works good for camping and recovery gear. Plus you can put stickers on it!



I was recently at the Home Depot on 27th in Franklin and they had the similar Plano tote with the removable lid.
I think on that one the lip is molded so you could put a foam gasket to seal it better if need be.

 

Interestingly, I put this on my Amazon wishlist the other day and was going to purchase them today. Price is now $82 each up from $46! I guess I should have bought a pair right away.

Thats alright there are plenty of others.

 

They know you want it so they jack up the price!

I saw ammo can fire pits on a video about Overland West. I thought they were cool but looked up the company and they're $175. I went to Home Depot, bought $50 worth of stuff then grabbed a spare can and whipped this up. I added a grill igniter too so that it can light itself. Should be good when we go out west soon

 

How bear resistant are those totes?

 

I dig this, but this post is worthless without a bill of material.
